Asheville - Lula Irene Jones Pace passed away Wednesday May 4, 2005 after an extended illness. A native of Anderson Co., Tn. she had lived in Buncombe Co. for most of her life. She attended the Gospel Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Hubert and Ollie Phillips Jones and the wife of the late Brownlow Glenn Pace. She was also preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Surviving are her daughter, Ollie Watkins of Asheville; sons, Matt and Daniel Pace both of Asheville; sisters, Lorena Jordan of Morristown, Tn. and Willene McGhee of Oliver Springs, Tn.; brothers, J.L Jones of Orlando, Fl., C.L. Jones of Michigan and Herbert Lee Jones of New River, Tn. 3 grandchildren, Angie Covan, Alicia Watkins and Tracy Jackson and 2 great grandchildren, Ryan Covan and Cody Jackson. She was a loving mother and grandmother and she unselfishly cared for everyone. Mrs. Pace was laid to rest on Saturday May 7, 2005 with Rev. Homer Edwards officiating..
