Luenna Rathburn Chastain

Asheville Luenna Virginia Jones Rathburn Chastain, 82, of Asheville, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at The Oaks of Sweeten Creek. Mrs. Chastain was a native and resident most of her life of Buncombe County and a daughter of the late William Edward Jones, Sr. and Pearl Ann Sherlin Jones. She was the wife of Wade Harrison Chastain who died August 19, 1979. Surviving are her daughters, Jeannie Blalock and Judy Rathburn both of Asheville; sons, Harold Rathburn, Jr. of Asheville, Phillip Butch Rathburn of Spartanburg, SC, Michael Rathburn of Texas, Sammy Rathburn and James Rathburn both of Tampa, FL; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter; sisters, Norma Cole of Arden and Patsy Jones of Asheville; brothers, William E. Jones, Jr. of Texas, Kenneth Jones of Rock Hill, SC, Harley Tommy Jones of Henderson, KY and Carl Gene Jones of Flat Rock. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Gasperson officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 to 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
