Lucy L. Kuykendall

Weaverville - Lucy Louise Cox Kuykendall, 84, of 23 Lower Roberts Branch Road died Monday, September 4, 2006 at her residence. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she retired in 1995 after 31 years of full-time service with A-B Emblem Co. and was of the Baptist faith. She was a daughter of the late Robert Blaine and Mary Parham Cox and the wife of the late William Dale Kuykendall who died in July of 1985. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Surviving are her daughter, Judy Baldwin and husband Ralph of Marshall; sons, J. Dennis Kuykendall and wife Helen of Asheville, Robert Dale Bobby Kuykendall and wife Shirley of Weaverville and Paul Jerald Kuykendall and wife Elender of Candler; brother, Billy Cox of Leicester; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Ebb Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home and at other times at the home of her son Bobby Kuykendall at 21 Lower Roberts Branch Road. Flowers are appreciated, however, for those that wish memorials may be made to ones favorite charity.
