Lucille Jackson

ALEXANDER Lucille Kathleen Stines Jackson, 78, of 246 Old Hwy #20 passed away Friday, February 29, 2008 at the Hominy Valley Retirement Center. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Jackson had resided in Buncombe County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Jake Eugene and Cora Wallin Stines. She retired from Bost Bakery where she served as a Bookkeeper, was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and was a past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving is her husband, James Jimmie Jackson of the home; daughters, Teresa Camp of Smyrna GA and Margo Griffin of Asheville; sons, Alan Jackson of Goshen, KY, Greg Jackson of Alexander and Ken Jackson of Tennessee; sister, Colene DeBruhl of Alexander; brother, Dennis Stines of Alexander; sister in law, Nancy Manning of Bryceville, FL; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Phillips and Rev. Dr. James Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 PM Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
