Lucille Deaver

Woodfin Pansy Lucille Lance Deaver, 90, of 422 Weaverville Road, went to be with the Lord Friday, April 1, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Deaver was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County, a 1945 graduate of Grace High School, member of Pine Burr Park Baptist Church and retired in 1987 following 26 years of service with Ball Brothers Mfg Co. Mrs. Deaver was a daughter of the late George Otho Lance and Orpho Hoxit Lance and the wife of Stephen Blaine Deaver, Jr. who died in 1990. She was also preceded in death by her son, Mike Deaver. Surviving are her son, Stephen Blaine Deaver, III and wife, Jo Ann of Weaverville; daughter, Joyce Deaver Burroughs of the home; grandchildren, Stephenie, Stephen IV, Angela, Michael, Scott, Bryan and Tabatha; 18 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Haynes, Rev. Worth Emory and Rev. David Gentry officiating. Burial will follow in West Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
