Louise Swanger Pace, 83, left to be with our Lord on Saturday, August 22, 2015, after a brief illness. She passed away at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Greene County, TN on December 18th, 1931, and moved to Asheville in 1956, where she lived and worked throughout her life. She was one of four daughters of the late Mary Ella Swanger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Pace, and her sister, Iva Lee McElrath. She loved being busy with her family, gardening, and work. She was employed as a personal seamstress for a family for nine years in the 60s, and until age 81 had been a house keeper for many families and businesses in the Asheville area. Surviving are her five children: Regina Robinson (Brandon) of Candler, Terry Ramsey (Mary Alice) of Fairview, Anne Roberts (Larry) of Deltona, FL, Dusty Ramsey of the home, and Rhoda Gregory (Melvin) of Asheville. She had six grandchildren: Danielle Guffie, Jammie Ramsey, Brandon Paris, Shannon Buckner, Karla Guffie, and Brittany Gregory. She also had six great grandchildren: Jacob, Mackenzie, Cory, Marah, Austin, Lacy, and Ryan. Also surviving are her two sisters: Charlotte Carpenter of Greene County, TN, and Janice Parker of Amarillo, TX. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 25, 2015, in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Sam McLamb and Kelvin Moseley officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Tuesday. A Video Tribute will be available for a limited time.
