Louise Rector

Asheville Mary Louise Rector, 84, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she retired in 1980 from Genuine Parts where she served as Bookkeeper for 15 years. She was a June 1949 graduate of Weaverville High School, was a member of Grace Baptist Church and former Brownie Girl Scout Leader and Grade Mother. Mrs. Rector was the daughter of the late Hoffman Blankenship and Annie Mae Justice Blankenship. Surviving are her husband whom she married December 23, 1951, Hobart Louis Rector of the home; daughter, Cathy Rector Queen and husband James of Candler; grandson, Benjamin F. Queen and fiancee Kelsey Medlock of Asheville and beloved cousin, Betty Jordan of Woodfin. Funeral services will be held at 4 PM Sunday, April 12, 2015 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Pruett officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery.
