Louise Foster

Asheville - Louise Sluder Foster passed away September 21, 2014. She was born February 21, 1929 to Mark & Lucy Israel Sluder and lived her entire life in Leicester. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her oldest son, David; her brothers, Glenn, Stans, and Arliss, and sisters Wilma Morgan and Levenia Allen. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Paul Foster, son Rick Foster and wife Teresa of Hickory, daughter-in-law Cheryl Meadows of Leicester, brothers, Harold Sluder and wife Patsy of Asheville, Ronnie Sluder and wife Joyce of Leicester, and sister Marie Merrill of Jamestown. Also surviving are grandchildren Sheila Kilby and husband Danny, Holly Penland and husband Layton of Leicester, Matthew Foster and wife Misty of Raleigh, and Sarah Foster of Mt. Holly and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Newfound Baptist Church in Leicester. Pastor Tony Hooper and Jeff Maynard will preside over the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12:00 noon.
