Lois Sprinkle

April 9, 1924 — October 6, 2017

Candler Mava Lois Clark Sprinkle, 93, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Fleshers Fairview Health Care Center following a short illness. A native of Madison County, she had resided in Buncombe County since 1943 and was a member of Glady Baptist Church. Mrs. Sprinkle was a daughter of the late Parley Lee Clark and Maude Lucinda Shipley Clark and was also preceded in death by her grandson, Johnathan Sprinkle, four sisters, and two brothers. Surviving are her husband and the love of her life of 76 wonderful years, Rev. Charles Willard Sprinkle, of the home; sons: Rev. Gerald Sprinkle (Nancy) and Keith Sprinkle (Sherry) all of Candler; three grandchildren: Denise, Chuck, and Randy; five great-grandchildren, three great, great-grandchildren and foster son, Henry Johnson. Lois was a devoted pastors wife of 62 years. Her delight was to fulfill that duty as perfectly as she could, in the lean years as well as in the more prosperous ones. She was a faithful member and Sunday School teacher of the Young Married Peoples Class of Glady Baptist Church for 60 years. She was a faithful prayer warrior for all of her friends and church family until the end. She instructed all of her family, her sons, and their wives, to be faithful to the Lord, telling Charles to Look Up and how dearly she loved him, for their redemption was nigh. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Rev. Gerald Sprinkle and Rev. David Grindstaff officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 3:00 5:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
