Lois June Smart M.D

Candler - Lois June Smart, M.D., 79, of Pisgah Estates, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2004 at the Solace Center. A native of Los Angeles, California, she received a Doctor of Medicine from Loma Linda University. She did a residency in Radiology and had both a private and hospital practice. She moved to Candler after retiring from the Veterans Administration Hospitals. She continued to work part time at Oteen through last year. She is survived by her brother, Leslie Smart, Jr. M.D. and his family. She enjoyed travel, building design and construction, along with church activities. She held several offices at the Mt. Pisgah Seventh-day Adventist Church and was a long time Bible teacher. A memorial service is planned for 4 p.m. Sunday , May 16, at Mt. Pisgah Academy Seventy-day Adventist Church in Candler.
