Letha P. Bradburn

Candler - Letha Pauline Payne Bradburn, 89, of 215 Asbury Road died Wednesday, April 12, 2006 following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A native of Madison County, she had resided in Buncombe County for the past 57 years. She retired from Three Mountaineers in 1978 and was of the Baptist faith. She was a daughter of the late Fessie and Minnie Redmond Payne and was also preceded in death by daughters, Eileen Williams and Violet Lance, son-in-law, Gaston Lance and brothers Burlon and Richmond Payne. Surviving are her daughter, Helen Styles and husband Maurice of Asheville; son-in-law, J. D. Williams of Candler; 4 half sisters, Valarie Hill of Weaverville, Maudie Payne, Faye Meadows and Barbara Morton all of Marshall; 4 half brothers, Arthur Payne of Marshall, Norman and Clarence Payne both of Weaverville and Evan Payne of Marshall; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Joint funeral services with her daughter, Eileen Williams will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with her grandson Aaron Styles officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah View Memorial Park with grandsons and great grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
