Leroy Presley

Leroy Presley, 84, of Concord Road, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 19, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his family. A native of Buncombe he was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Fairview. He was a loving husband, father, and Pawpaw. Mr. Presley was the son of the late Fate and Edna Ballard Presley. He was also preceded in death by his: brothers, Wilburn Presley, and Jay Presley; and sister, Arsula Penland. Mr. Presley is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Louise Presley of the home. In addition to his wife surviving are his: sons, Roger Presley and his wife Jane, Randy Presley, Ronnie Presley and his wife Lisa, and Ricky Presley; Grandchildren, Curt Presley and Shelley Presley; Great Grandchildren, Olivia and Nolan Presley; Brothers, Merrimon Presley, Robert Presley, and Jim Presley; Sisters, Ruby Watkins, and Barbara Presley. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Stacey Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Emmas Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
