Leota Brown

October 17, 1932 — March 20, 2006

Candler - Eva Leota Crowder Brown, 73, of 41 Grooms Road, died Monday March 20, 2006 at her home after an extended illness. A native of Madison County, she had lived in Buncombe County since 1953 and was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Herman G. and Effie Fox Crowder and was also preceded in death by sisters, Glennis Rice and Alma Williams and brother Roy Crowder. Surviving are her husband, Mark Isac Brown of the home; sisters, Ava Lankford of Oakley, Ruth Edmonds of Goose Creek, SC, Ora Mae Laws and husband Gene of Goshen, IN, Helen Quakenbush and Wilma Evans and husband Doug both of Leicester; brother, Walter Crowder of Goshen, IN.; several nieces and nephews and special friends and caregivers, Eddie and Stacey Parham and their children Levi and Brittany. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Revs. Tony Parham and Furman Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Doug and Wilma Evans on Webb Hill Road in Leicester.
