Leo V. Wright

Dinwiddie, VA Leo V. Wright, 87, joined his wife, Julia, with our Lord on February 9, 2014. He was born September 7, 1926 to the late John D. Wright and Bessie Phillips Wright. Mr. Wright was a WWII Army Air Force veteran. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol for over 30 years, performing search and rescue as a Pilot. Mr. Wright retired after 30 years in education. He also was an avid member of the North-South Skirmish Association for over 58 years and was one of its early members. He was also an Eagle Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow. He is survived by a son, Ian M. Wright and wife Shirley of Chester, VA; grandchildren, Ian M. Wright, II, Walter V. Wright and fianceeLeslie, Carole W. Felker and husband David and Rebecca J.M. Wright and two great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM Monday, February 17, 2014 at Green Hills Cemetery with Rev. Ken Metcalf officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the NC National Guard. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:15 PM Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
