Laura Fowler

August 4, 1945 — February 21, 2018

Weaverville Laura Ester Clemmons Fowler, 72, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Madison Health and Rehab. A native of Buncombe County, she had served as an LPN from 1968 until her retirement in 2008. She was a member of Woodfin Baptist Church, where a member of Willing Workers Sunday School Class, and was the daughter of the late James Leonard Clemmons and Margaret June Collins Clemmons. Surviving are her daughter, Angela McQueen of Weaverville; sisters, Dixie Ingle (Jerry) of Weaverville, Terry Dunn (Ted) and Nancy Hyatt all of Asheville; grandsons, Travis Williams, Dustin Williams and Jamison Clanton and great grandchildren, Trevor, Taylor, Jaden, Lathan and Jayla. Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, February 25, 2018 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Crowe officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following services at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of her daughter Angela, 229 Stoney Knob Road in Weaverville. Flowers are welcome and appreciated.
