Larry Horace Hollar

Candler Larry Horace Hollar, 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at his residence surrounded by family. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Herbert Ralph and Sophie Blair Hollar, he was also preceded in death by an infant son, Larry Dean Hollar. Larry retired from RC Cola after 47 years of service. Larry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sue Marie Hollar; sons: Robert Hollar and wife Kimberly, and Norman Hollar and wife Ginger of Candler; sister, Fay Brock and husband Bud of Liberty, SC; brother, Ray Hollar and wife Johnnie of Weaverville; grandchildren: Travis, Austin, and Hayden; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Rev. Leslie Hines officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
