Larry "Dee" Crompton Jr.

Horse Shoe, NC Larry Dee Crompton, Jr., 45, of Horse Shoe died unexpectantly Wednesday, June 29, 2005. A native of Buncombe County and the son of Nancy Crompton Hawkins of Candler and the late Larry D. Crompton, Sr. He had resided in Henderson County for the past 17 years and attended Emmanuel Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Patty Crompton; daughter, Lauren Crompton of Horse Shoe; sister, Barbara Dillingham of Candler; step-father, Thomas R. Hawkins of Candler; two nieces and two nephews. A memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Ronnie Owen officiating.
