Kenny Pressley

Candler Kenneth Kenny Darrel Pressley, 66, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Vernon E. Pressley and Eva Ray Pressley and was also preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Pressley and Henry Vance. Surviving are his sisters, Marie Warren and Edith Messer both of Candler, Susan Gregory of Asheville and Judith Runion of Hendersonville. He was a Vietnam War veteran, serving in the US Army Artillery Division with the Rank of SP4. He worked most of his life at Forest Lawn and Lewis Memorial Park in their Grounds Maintenance Department. Memorial graveside services will be held at 3 PM Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Crawford Ray Memorial Park with Rev. Ron Brown officiating, and military rites conducted by the NC National Guard. The family will receive friends immediately following services at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.
