Kathleen Stanley

Candler- Kathleen McDonald Stanley, 84, of 7 English Drive went to be with her Lord Friday, October 8, 2010 at the Elizabeth House following a long illness. A native and resident for many years in Buncombe County. She was a Home Maker and member of West Asheville Church of God. Mrs. Stanley was a daughter of the late Emory and Annie Blaine McDonald and wife of the late Rev. Arthur R. Stanley, a Church of God Pastor for many years. Surviving are her daughter, Angela Gay Kuffel; grandchildren, Ashley, Stephanie and Tiffany Kuffel; sister, Margaret Box; brother-in-law, A.B. Stanley and wife, Margie of Asheville; sister in law, Annie Jo Smith with whom she made her home; several nieces and nephews including Bruce Smith and wife Suzi of Candler. Funeral services will be held 3 P.M. Tuesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Frankie Tyson and Rev. Al Riggs officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
