Kaleb Smith Candler Kaleb Dominick Smith, 1, of 50 Boones Farm Road passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. Kaleb was born at Duke Hospital in Durham, but was a Buncombe County resident. Kaleb had two previous heart surgeries but was doing exceptionally well. he passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness. Kaleb had a very short life, but was loved by many and will be greatly missed by his family. Kaleb was preceded in death by his uncle, Michael Breedlove who passed away February 9, 2009. Surviving are his parents, Amanda Breedlove & Nick Smith; maternal grandparents, William & Lori Breedlove; paternal grandmother, Aurethia Allen; uncle, Dakota Breedlove; aunt, Nicola Smith; great grandparents, Jack & Linda Dezern and Jay & LInda Breedlove; great-great grandmothers, Betty Arrington and Dorothy Shively; great uncles, Lary Dezern, Gus Brewton and Jeremy McCarson; great aunts, Tonia Breedlove and Sharon Breedlove McCarson and many cousins. A memorial service will be held 3 P.M. Sunday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Moretz officiating. The family will receive friends 2 to 3 P.M. prior to the memorial service at the funeral home.
