June Amerson

Forest City - Sara June Amerson passed away Monday April 16, 2007 at her residence in Forest City after a brief illness. She was a native of Atlanta GA, and a longtime resident of Western north Carolina. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army. She was the daughter of the late Huley Red and Mattie Morgan Myrick and was also preceded in death by her sister, Joy Wilson of Georgia. Surviving are her husband, James Amerson of the home; sons, Kenneth Myrick and Anthony Myrick and his wife Jerusha and two grandchildren, Tene and Mitchell Myrick all of Asheville. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Dodson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with military graveside rites provided by the Buncombe County Veterans Council Memorial Team. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
