Julia Ann West

Swannanoa - Julia Ann Lindsey West, 64, of 103-6 Old Jims Branch Road, died Saturday, January 10, 2004 at Mountain Area Hospice Solace Center following a period of declining health. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. She was Co-owner and partner along with her husband of the West Nursery & Landscaping Company, a member of Biltmore Church of God and was a devoted wife and loving mother to her children and grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Charles Francis Lindsey and Myrtle Howington Lindsey. Surviving are her husband, Herman C. West of the home; daughters, Holly W. Guy of Greensboro and her fiance, Mike Wright of Boling Green, KY, Susan W. Mathis and husband, Harris of Boca Raton, FL, Libby W. Lash and husband, Randall of Asheville; Grandchildren, Casey Guy of Greensboro, Jason Slagle of Boca Raton, FL, Lindsey Lash of Asheville. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Allen, Sr. and wife, Rev. Marjorie Allen officiating. Burial will be in Skyview Memorial Park.
