Judy Young

Candler Judith Mae Judy White Young, 79, of 103 Rhinehart Road, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Aston Park Health Care. A native of Durham, NC, she had resided in Buncombe County since 1970. She retired from St. Josephs Hospital and was a member of Oak Forest Presbyterian Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Young was a daughter of the late John Edward White and Luna Mae Tilley White and was also preceded in death by her sister, Betsy Sheppard and brother, Bobby White. Surviving are her husband, Columbus Horace Young of the home; children, Penny M. Haney of Candler, Bobby H. Mobley of Asheville and Lynn Porvaznik of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Carmen Hall and husband Michael and Michael Haney all of Candler; great grandchildren, Serena Haney, Melody Haney, Taryn Haney, Kinley Hall and Dominic Haney; sisters, Becky Glenn and husband Walter of Bahama, NC and Jeannie White of Durham and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. David Morgan officiating.
