Black Mountain – Juanita Styles, 77, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 30, 2020 at the Black Mountain Neuro Medical Center. A native of Yancey County, she had resided in Buncombe County for most of her life. She was formerly employed at Burger King and Handi-Skills and was a member of Salvation Army. Ms. Styles was the daughter of the late Glenn E. Scott and Flossie Georgianna Robinson Scott. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Doris Galus; sister-in-law, Jackie Scott; brothers, Charles, Edward and Clyde Scott and brothers-in-law, Dean Thorpe and Ray Galus. Surviving are her sisters, Glenda Cagle and Pat Standridge and husband Jim all of Asheville and Kathy Thorpe of Fletcher; sister-in-law, Judy Scott of Old Fort; brother, Lee Roy Scott of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM Friday, December 4, 2020 at Elk Mountain Cemetery, with Rev. Michael Woodard officiating. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the love and support of the staff at the Black Mountain Neuro Medical Center.
