Juanita Smith

Asheville – Juanita Louise Worley Smith, 86, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Aston Park Health Care Center.

A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she retired as a Salesclerk for ABC System, later worked for Holiday Inn Express, and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late George Arthur Worley and Sarah Elizabeth Purvis Worley, and wife of Glen James Smith who died October 4, 1988. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Leigh “Mater” Fowler and sisters: Gwen Worley Anders and Dotsy Worley Gray.

Surviving are her daughters: Darlene Yvonne Grady of Asheville and Suzanne Kay Huskey and husband Bill of Candler; grandsons: Matthew Huskey and wife Tallie and William B.B. Huskey all of Asheville; great-granddaughters: Cheyenne, Shelby, Kaylie, Madelyn and Alivia.

A time of celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 4 to 7 PM, at the home of the daughter, Suzanne Huskey, 745 N. Morgan Branch Road, Candler, NC.
