Juanita Clark

Asheville – Juanita Tow Clark, 100, went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, December 13, 2020 at Pisgah Manor. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mrs. Clark was the daughter of the late Carl Tow and Della Holcombe Tow. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Everette W. Clark, Sr. who died in 1977; a son, Eddie Wayne Clark; son-in-law, Allen Black and siblings, Sam Tow, Madeline Edwards, Carl Tow, Jr., Audrey Tow, Winifred Shook, Inez Wilson, Charles Tow, James Tow, Ruth McCarson, and Bill Tow. Mrs. Clark was a graduate of West Buncombe High School. She was retired from Hadley Corporation of Asheville. Mrs. Clark was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church all of her life, serving as a deacon, children’s Sunday School teacher, member of numerous committees, including the Triple L Club, and adult choir. Mrs. Clark was an avid seamstress making quilts for members of her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with friends and family, including trips to the Holy Land, throughout the United States, and especially visiting her daughter in Georgia. Mrs. Clark is survived by her son, Everette Clark and wife, Julia of Enka; a daughter, Evelyn Black of Senoia, Georgia; two granddaughters, Marsha Lipe and husband, Ronnie of Candler, and Julie Weidl and husband, Michael of Greensboro; three grandsons, Wayne Black, Clark Black, both of Senoia, Georgia, and Darren Black and wife, Theresa of Sharpsburg, Georgia; nine great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mrs. Clark will be at 2 PM Saturday, December 19, 2020 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Pastor Rendell Hipps officiating. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service. A private burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler, North Carolina.
