Joyce Haney

ASHEVILLE - Joyce Bernice Ramsey Haney, 82, passed away April 28, 2010 at the Memorial Campus after a brief illness. Mrs. Haney was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and the wife of the late Carrol Haney. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Mike and Dennis Haney. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all her family and friends. Surviving are her daughters, Nancy Riedel and husband William R. of Weaverville, Jeannie Hargis and husband David of Candler and Gale Schultz of Asheville; grandchildren, Krista Dockery (husband Michael), Daniel Hargis (Summer Scott) and Timothy Schultz (Myra McMahan) and great grandson, Layke Hargis. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. David Ingram officiating. Burial will be in Piney Mountain UMC Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
