Joseph Clyde Lonon Jr.

Asheville - Joseph Clyde Lonon, Jr., 69, of Altamont Apts. #53 passed away Saturday, September 4, 2004 at his residence. A native of McDowell County, he was the son of the late Joseph Clyde Lonon, Sr. and Easter Jolley Lonon. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Marion Lonon and great grandson, Zebadiah Southerland. Surviving are his daughters, Debora Lonon Gibson and husband Gary and Pamela Lonon Driver and husband Phillip all of Asheville; former wife and mother of his children, Bobbie Lonon of Asheville; grandchildren, Christina Vazquez and husband Guadalupe, Monica Rhoads, Angela Ramirez and husband Everado, Phillip Rhoads and wife Shelley, Joey Styles and Jammie Driver; great grandchildren, Lupe Vazquez, Dakota Rhoads, Sarena, Jose and Andrea Ramirez, Alanna and Navarrie Rhoads; sisters, Virginia Westmorland and husband Lee, Ruby Daggett and husband Kelly, Mary Ruth Elliott and husband Ed, Mildred Poteat and husband Ed and Shelby Poteat and husband Olen all of Marion; brothers, Rev. Calvin Lonon and wife Helen and Jack Lonon and wife Mabel. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Bobbie Lonon, 1967 Riverside Dr., Asheville. Memorials may be made to ones favorite charity.
