John William "Johnny" Reed

Asheville - John W. Johnny Reed, 58, a resident at Fleschers of Fairview died January 21, 2005 at Mission Hospitals. He was born in Buncombe County to the late Charles A. Reed and Stella Haney Reed Crisp. He was a graduate of Sand Hill School Special Education Class and until his illness lived at home at 17 Hi- Alta Ave. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, William A. Crisp; brothers, Floyd, Jimmy and Bobby Reed and sister, Edith Reed. Johnny was one of Gods many blessings. His beautiful smile touched everyones heart. His family has been blessed to know his love. Johnny is survived by his sisters, Nancy Reed of Asheville and Sally Ownbey and her husband C.A. of Fairview; brothers, Charles Reed and wife Pam of Brooksville, FL, Gordon Reed and wife Judy of Rochester, NY and Jack Reed and wife Sue also of Rochester, NY and several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. Graveside services will be conducted by the Rev. Todd Royal at New Morgan Hill Cemetery at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 P.M. Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
