John Wesley Miller Jr.

Fletcher - John Wesley Miller, Jr., 76, of 2 Bob Barnwell Rd. died Saturday February 26, 2005 at his residence after an extended illness. A native of Honaker, Va. he resided most of his life in Buncombe County. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He was a son of the late John Wesley Miller, Sr. and Laura Louise McGraw Miller and the husband of the late Lois Manley Miller. He was also preceded in death by 4 sisters, Marguerite Boyd, Betty Gent, Nora Jane Anderson and Louise Banner and 1 brother, Ralph E. Miller. Surviving are his children, Jackie Gage and husband Les of Asheville, Eddy Miller and wife Sabrina of Fairview, Sheila Waldrop and husband Rick of Asheville, Teresa Levine of Rusk, Tx and Wesley Miller and wife Susie of Asheville; step children, Frank Manley, Jr., Dorothy Ann Sayles, Howard Jeffery Moore and Susan Elizabeth Turner; sisters, Linda Harper of Chester, Va. and Jimmie Gay Patrick of Stratford, NJ; lifetime companion, Sue Runyon Moore of Asheville and 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Emmas Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Kevin Garner officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 P.M. Monday at his residence.
