Burnsville, NC –John Warren Ferguson, 73, passed peacefully home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.

A native of Quincy, Massachusetts, he spent the majority of his career as a beloved teacher, both in special education and U.S. History, as well as a longtime summer camp director. John is remembered as a hard worker and provider for his family. He was a lifelong learner and avid reader (Tolstoy among his favorites).
