John Paul Lillard

Asheville John Paul Lillard, 75, of 539 Deaverview Rd. passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at Pisgah Manor Health Care Center. A native of Haywood County and a resident Buncombe County since 1956. He was the son of the late Taylor Wilson and Josephine Coleman Lillard and the husband of Annie Sue Gibson Lillard who died March 4, 2005. Mr. Lillard was in construction work, member of Sunrise Baptist Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Surviving are his extended family and a host of friends. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park in Waynesville with the Rev. Bill Higgins officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
