Fairview - Jobe Gaston Junior Dillingham, Jr. ,64, of 15 Sweet Apple Drive, passed away Monday, August 14 2006 following a courages battle with cancer A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He was a son of Ella Virginia Ball Dillingham of Fairview and the late Jobe Gaston Dillingham. Mr Dillingham was a former truck driver and small engine repairman having worked with Fredrickson Trucking company for a number of years Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife Phyllis Trantham Dillingham of the home; sons Jimmy Dillingham of Fairview and Wayne Dillingham and fiancee Angie of Fairview; daughter; Denise Jackson and husband Dennis of Leicester; sister, Betty Dillingham of Barnardsville; brothers, Harry Dillingham and wife Ruth of Mars Hill and Edgar Dillingham and wife Brenda of Candler; grandchildren Jamie and Dawn Dillingham, Brittney and Kayla Solesby, Alex Jackson; Clayton and Nick Miller; several nieces, and nephews and many special friends. Daddy was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather (Papaw) and friend. He treated everyone the way he would want to be treated and all those who knew him thought of him as their friend. Although he struggled with his illness, the days and months weve shared with him have been a sweet blessing and his memory will remain with us always. We love you Daddy. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Revs. Tony Parham, Furman Wilson and Jimmy Page officiating. Burial will follow in Cane Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
