JoAnne Hensley Fisher, 68, a native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County passed away on July 30th. She was born on January 24, 1945 to Jessie Mae Swann Hensley of Asheville and the late William Lonnie Hensley. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband, Reeves ONeal Fisher who passed away October 2, 2002. She is also preceded in death by her dear friends: Virginia Swann, Jim Anderson, and Ricky Baker. In addition to her mother JoAnne is survived by a daughter, Tammy Renee Fisher and her husband Greg of Weaverville; a son, William ONeil Fisher of Leicester; a granddaughter, Amanda Fisher; a grandson, Aaron Fisher; a sister, Karen Elaine Hawkins and her husband Eddie of Asheville; a brother, William Marvin Hensley and his wife Peggy of Leicester; a sister-in-law, Shirley Robinson; a brother-in-law, George Michael Fisher; by nieces and nephews: Nathan Hawkins, Deborah Hawkins, Kellia Hensley, Kevin Hensley, Richard Glenn, Paula Glenn, William Rice, Carrol Lynn Pulliman, and Charles Rice; and by good friends: Betty Baker, Wanda Raines, and Sarah Anderson. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 1 PM in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Revs. Ronald Dodson and Johnny Raines, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6 PM till 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be: Nathan Hawkins, Eddie Hawkins, Willie Rice, George Michael Fisher, Richard Earl Glenn, and Gary Swann.
