Joan Parham

Swannanoa - Joan Parham, 66, of 434 Lytle Cove Rd. died Saturday, January 10, 2004 at Mission Hospitals. A native of McDowell County, she had lived in Buncombe County for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late George and Emma Bright. Surviving are her daughter, Revonda Kay Willis of Arden; sons, Samuel Bruce Parham and wife Debbie of Flat Rock, Claude Eugene Parham of Asheville, and James Gordon Moe Parham of Lake Norman; grandchildren, Bobby Ray Parham, Tashauna Nicole Parham and Sara Elizabeth Parham, George Eric Parham, Amber Lee Parham and Julianne Briggs, Bitina Marie Parham, Taylor Leigh Parham, and Justin Wade Parham. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Metcalf officiating. Burial will be in Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM Monday at the funeral home.
