Joan Allen

Asheville Brenda Joan Towe Allen, 70, of 20 Wood Duck Lane, went to be with her Lord on Monday, June 29, 2015 at the Elizabeth House. A native and resident most of her life of Buncombe County, she was raised in the Mt. Pisgah area and attended Enka High School. She was formerly employed with St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. Mrs. Allen was the daughter of the Late Howard and Ellen Dora Arrington Towe and was also preceded in death by her sister, Jean Loftin. Surviving are her daughter, Nicole Wells of Asheville; brothers, Jimmy Towe, Bobby Towe and wife Wanda and Jerry Towe and wife Mary all of Candler; several nieces, nephews and cousins and her beloved dogs, Eli & Honey. Memorial services will be held at 4 PM Wednesday, July 1, 2015 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen V. Oxner officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following services at the funeral home.
