Jimmy Fisher

Asheville - Jimmy Donald Fisher, 70, formerly of 22 Eastview Circle passed away Monday, March 7, 2011 at StoneCreek Health and Rehabilitation Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He retired from the City of Asheville Water Department. Mr. Fisher was a son of the late Claude C.P. Fisher and Elsie Cannon Fisher. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Kathleen Bright and Mickie Vardiman and brothers, Ray Fisher, J.C. Fisher and Floyd Fisher. Surviving are his sons, Matthew Fisher and Stevie Fisher both of Asheville; granddaughter, Chloe; sisters, Frances Gail Fisher and Willie Mae Jones both of Asheville and Alma Jean Goodpaster of Fairmount, IN; brothers, Kenneth Fisher of Greensboro and Wayne Fisher of Asheville and special friend, James Trantham of Asheville. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Frady and Rev. Cindy Coleman, CarePartners Chaplain officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
