ALEXANDER - James Rankin Jimmie Jackson, 82, of Old Highway 20, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mr. Jackson was a route salesman for several milk and bread companies for many years. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, and was a veteran of the US Air Force. Mr. Jackson was the son of the late John Wesley and Josephine Lumpkin Jackson, and was also preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Lucille Stines Jackson, who passed away in 2008. Surviving are his daughters: Teresa Camp of Smyrna, GA and Margo Griffin of Asheville; sons: Alan Jackson of Goshen, KY, Greg Jackson of Alexander, and Ken Jackson of Greeneville, TN; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Manning of Bryceville, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, with the Rev. Dr. Ronnie Owen officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 PM Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the John F.
