Jerry Wayne Case

Candler Jerry Wayne Case, 65, of 180 Lower Edgewood Road, went to be with his Lord, Saturday, April 7, 2012 at his residence. Jerry was lifelong resident of Buncombe County and had retired from Gerber in 1988. He was an U.S. Navy Veteran during the Vietnam War. Jerry was a son of the late James Weaver Case, II and Beulah Elliott Case Allen. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Dianna Marie Case and his brother, Roger Case. Surviving are his wife whom he married December 30, 1966, Barbara Elaine Reynolds Case of the home; son, Jerry Case and wife, Paula of Asheville, daughter, Veronica Rice and husband, Nathan of Candler, son, Christopher Chris Case and wife, Michele of Candler, son, Brian Case of Candler, sister, Irma Bartlett of Candler, brothers, Paul Elliott of Marietta, GA, James Weaver Case, III of Candler and Donald Donnie Case and wife, Wanda of Asheville, 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Wednesday at Edgewood Baptist Church with Rev. Louis Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah View Memorial Park with military honors conducted by the Buncombe County Veterans Council Memorial Team. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M.
