Jerry Langford

Asheville - Jerry Patch Langford, 58, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at his residence. A native and resident of Buncombe County for most of his life, Mr. Langford worked as a carpenter, and was a veteran of the US Army, having being stationed in Germany. He was the son of Shirley Jean Roberts Langford of Catawba, NC, and the late Rev. Harold J. Langford. In addition to his mother, surviving are his brothers: Robin Langford (Ranae) of Taylorsville, NC, Fred Langford (Mary) of Hickory, NC, Daniel Langford (Karen) of Catawba, NC, and Paul Langford (Pat) of Maiden, NC; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the Lighthouse Word of Life Church, 475 Deaverview Road, Asheville, NC 28806. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. A second memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 962 Old US Highway 70, Black Mountain, NC 28711. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the cemetery.
