Jennifer Sluder

Jennifer Lynn Phillips Sluder, 43, died Saturday, August 4, 2012. Mrs. Sluder was born in San Bruno, California and lived in Richardson, Texas before moving to Asheville in 1984. She was a 1987 graduate of Enka High School and worked as a cosmetologist and nail technician in Asheville for 18 years. She enjoyed a variety of activities, including scrapbooking, jewelry design and her profession as a cosmetologist. Mrs. Sluder is survived by her husband of 20 years, Steve Sluder; a daughter, Brooke Sluder; a son, Tristan Sluder; her parents, Ray Phillips of Wake Village, Texas and Anne Shillinglaw Phillips of Asheville; one sister, Michele Phillips Martin and her husband Allen Martin of Arden and father and mother-in-law, Jim and Linda Sluder. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Friday, August 10, 2012 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the family.
