Asheville Jennifer Flynn Rymell, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at her residence. A native of Middlesboro, KY, she had resided in Buncombe County since 1977. Jennifer was a 1966 graduate of Cary High School, a 1970 graduate of Pfeiffer University, and received her Masters Degree from Western Carolina University in 1973. She was an elementary school teacher for more than 34 years in Burke, Union, and Henderson Counties before retiring in 2004. She was also a member of The Cathedral of All Souls where she was a past Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Rymell was the daughter of Paul Spencer Flynn, Sr., and the late Kathleen White Flynn. Surviving in addition to her father are her husband Robert Bob Rymell; daughter, Emily Susan Rymell of Durham; son, Michael Paul Rymell of Cullowhee; Sister, Della Susan Flynn of Lincolnton; brother, Paul Sandy Spencer Flynn, Jr. and wife Scottie of Atlanta, GA; niece, Jessica Pogue and husband Blake; and nephews: Carson Luther Flynn, Connor Pogue, and Nolan Pogue. Memorial services will be held 2:30 PM Sunday, March 22, 2015 at The Cathedral of All Souls, 9 Swan St, Asheville, NC, with Dean Todd Donatelli officiating. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to: Federal Education Budget Project-New America Foundation (febp.newamerica.net) or NC Arboretum (ncarboretum.org) or Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry (abccm.org).
