Jean Moore

Candler - Emma Jean Morris Moore, 67, passed away peacefully Monday, September 26, 2011 at the Four Seasons Hospice Elizabeth House in Hendersonville. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she retired from St. Joseph's Hospital as the purchasing manager. She was a daughter of Lillian Ruth Morris of Candler and the late James W. Morris, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert Craig Moore. Surviving in addition to her mother are her loving husband of 48 years, Robert R. Moore; sisters, Joyce Francis (Jim) of Waynesville and Mary Moss (Steve) of Asheville; brother, James W. Morris, Jr. of Candler; nieces of whom she was so fond, Krista and Kaylen Francis, Amanda Moss, Whitney Adams and Natalie Morris; beloved nephew, Paul Morris and sisters in law, Bobbie Bruno and Susan Hedgepeth. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Four Seasons Hospice Staff and the ones who lovingly cared for Jean. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Austin Watts officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour before services at the funeral home.
