Janie Treadway

Asheville - Janie Clark Treadway, 75, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. Born in Madison County and a native of Haywood County, Mrs. Treadway had resided in Buncombe County since 1979. She was a former member of Sunrise Baptist Church, and loved to travel as well as play Bingo and Monopoly. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Emily Gilespie Clark. Surviving are her husband, Willie Ray Treadway, whom she married in 1993; son, Jerry L. Jenkins and wife Sharon of Leicester; granddaughter, Caitlin Jenkins; sisters: Mary Messer and Doris Ball; brother, Donald Clark; beloved pets: Peppy, Callie and Midnight; several nieces, nephews and numerous special friends. Funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Daryl Overton officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
