Janice Nottingham

Asheville - Mildred Janice Nottingham, 70, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at the Stone Creek Health and Rehab Center. A native North Carolinean, Ms. Nottingham worked for 23 years as a Surgical Assistant for Mission Hospitals. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Ms. Nottingham was the daughter of the late Levi Harold and Bessie McCurry Nottingham. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Doris Nottingham Olsen and Donna Nottingham Mullen and brothers, Harold Nottingham and Wray Nottingham, as well as her nephew, Rick Olsen, all natives of Tilbury, Ontario, Canada. Surviving are her two sisters-in-law, Pansy Nottingham Hathaway and Judy Sadako Nottingham along with nine nieces and nephews; 19 great nieces and nephews and eight great-great nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Nathan Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.
