James William "Bill" Roland

Rolesville - "Bill" Roland, 69, Went to be with the Lord Thursday February 17, 2011. He was the son of Lula H. Roland of Weaverville and the late James Carson Roland and was also preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Higgins. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of 47 years, Betsy Roland of the home; two sons, William Roland and wife Maria of Rolesville and their daughters, Sydney, Kyndall, Lydia and Addyson and Brad Roland of Rolesville; sister, Beverly Gregg and husband Ronnie of Weaverville; brother, Rev. Bob Roland and wife Pat of Asheville; and many nieces and nephews. He loved the Lord and enjoyed listening to preachers over the radio and on the internet. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. He enjoyed flying and spending time with his granddaughters. He was a computer Guru and loved to help others with their computers. Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Revs. Bob Roland and Brian Greene officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6:00 P.M.
