James Ross Lands

Asheville - James Ross Lands, 77, of 500 Beaverdam Road, passed away Monday, July 14, 2008 at the Golden Living Center. A native of Haywood County, Mr. Lands retired from MilkCo as a production worker after 42 years of service. He was an avid NASCAR fan, remaining loyal to Dale Earnhardt. He was the son of the late William Ross and Beulah Parris Lands. Surviving are his son, John Collado of Asheville; sister, Linda Henderson and husband Garry of Asheville; and brother, Bill Lands and wife Doris of Canton. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Saturday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Clyde, with the Rev. C.W. Anthony officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 - 10:30 AM Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
