James A. Smith

Asheville – James A. Smith, 61, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at his residence. A native of Baltimore, MD, James was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and later worked for the John Hopkins Medical Center in Research and Development. Most recently he worked for Lab Corp and Pardee Hospital as a Lab Technician. Those left to cherish his memory are his companion of 15 years, Teresa Dye; daughters: April, Kelly, and Tiffany; sister, Gwendolyn Smith; and brothers: Butch Smith and Charles Smith Graveside Services will be held at 11 AM Friday, June 7, 2019 at Green Hills Cemetery with Pastor Allen Rash officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the North Carolina National Guard Honor Guard.
