Jackie Holt

Weaverville Jackie Dale Holt, 69, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at his home. A native of Marshall, Mr. Holt had resided in Buncombe County for most of his life. He was an avid outdoorsman, and loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Holt was the son of the late Roy Telford and Mae Roberts Holt, and the husband of the late Dorothy Craig Holt, who passed away May 12, 2016. Surviving are his sons: Timothy Holt and wife Mechelle, and Richard Holt and wife Jennifer; grandchildren: Chelsea, Courtney, R.J., and Jackson; great-grandchildren: Madison and Payton; and sisters: Diane Roberts, Pansy Lamb, Barbara Townsend, and Jean Mace. Per Mr. Holts request, a private memorial service will be held in the spring. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting the Holt family.
