Candler - James Conley (J. C.) Clark of 31 Dixon Terrace died Thursday May 2, 2002 at Memorial Mission Hospital after a period of declining health. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe, he was the son of the late James and Margaret Clark and was also preceded in death by a sister, Eureka McAninch. Surviving are his wife, Gerrie Clark of the home; daughter, Connie Clark Wise and grandson, E. J. Wise of Candler; sisters, Katheryn Warren and husband Delon, Sarah Ward and husband Walter Ward, Jr. and Pat Laws and husband Ralph all of Candler; Aunt, Lena Hill of Leicester and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Pisgah View Memorial Park with Pastors Noah Barefoot and Austin Watts officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M.
